Meet Carolyn

Over 40 years of experience

BAA, Dowling College, 1982

Carolyn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dowling College in 1982 and obtained her CPA license soon thereafter. She joined the firm as a staff accountant upon graduating and worked side by side with the original owner until 1990 when he passed away. Carolyn has since remained the sole owner of the firm. She is an expert in her field, committing to a minimum of forty hours a year to her continuing education and regularly participating in seminars in order to remain informed on any changes in the tax code. Our clients appreciate her attention to detail and her devotion to the financial well-being of every one of her clients. Carolyn is a hard-working and dedicated business owner who personally reviews every tax return that leaves the office. She leads by example and with great compassion, creating a healthy work environment that inspires its workers to also go above and beyond for their clients.

Beyond her responsibilities at her firm, Carolyn gives back to her community by volunteering as the treasurer on the board directors for The Reboli Center for Art and History.

Meet Michelle

Over 22 years of experience

Staff member since 2005

BS, St. Joseph's College, 2002

Michelle is one of two full-time senior accountants in our office. She is highly experienced in resolving tax notices and setting up payment plans for clients. Michelle meets with a variety of business clients monthly to review their records and prepare their sales tax and payroll tax returns. She also prepares financial statements for our clients as needed. In addition to working with our business clients, Michelle frequently supports our personal tax clients. She assists them in tax planning and prepares both business and personal tax returns. Over the years, Michelle has become a much valued and indispensable member of our staff.

Meet Julia

Over 20 years of experience

Staff member since 2005

BBA in Accounting, Briarcliffe College, 2005

MS in Accounting, SUNY Old Westbury, 2008

Julia is one of our full-time senior accountants. Julia meets monthly with a variety of business clients to review their records and prepare their sales and payroll tax returns. She also prepares financial statements for them when requested. The types of businesses Julia specializes in are contractors, not-for-profit organizations, and web-based businesses. She is solely responsible for all Union reporting and Union audits. In addition to her time spent with our business clients, she also assists our personal clients with their tax planning needs as well as the preparation of their tax returns. With her expertise and proficiency, Julia has become a highly valued and crucial member of our staff.

Meet Catherine

Over 35 years of experience

Staff Member since 1987

BS in Accounting, SUNY Oneonta, 1986

Catherine has been working with us longer than any other staff member. Originally, she and Carolyn worked under the firm’s original owner together. She stayed on as a crucial member of Carolyn’s staff during and after the transfer of ownership in the 90s. In 2001, Catherine went from a full-time senior accountant to a seasonal one. Catherine rejoins our staff each year in January and will work part-time through April. To this day, she remains a vital member of our staff, preparing a large majority of our corporate closings and corporate tax returns each year.

Meet Susan

Administrative Assistant

Staff Member since 2011

Susan has been a significant member of our firm’s support staff since 2011. She is the primary contact for our clients within the office. She works closely with the rest of our staff to resolve any questions or problems they may have. As our administrative assistant, she is well versed in the inner workings of our office. She is responsible for our billing, appointments, and most of our communication with our clients. Additionally, she is responsible for submitting workers comp claims and preparing documentation for our business clients’ insurance audits. Her office experience and rapport with our clients helps keep you informed and our office running smoothly. Susan consistently proves to be an essential member of our staff.
